What you'll do

• Design and produce a variety of documents, including reports, presentations, and marketing materials, ensuring adherence to branding guidelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and project managers to gather content and understand project requirements.
• Utilize desktop publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to create visually compelling layouts and graphics.
• Edit and proofread documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, making necessary revisions based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure all published materials comply with government regulations and security protocols, particularly those related to classified information.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on final products to ensure they meet established specifications and standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in desktop publishing and graphic design to continuously improve processes and outputs.
• Provide training and support to junior team members on desktop publishing tools and techniques as needed.
• Maintain organized digital files and archives of all published materials for easy retrieval and reference.
• Assist in the development of templates and style guides to streamline the publishing process across various projects.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in desktop publishing or a related field, preferably in a government or defense context.
• Active Secret Clearance is required for this position.
• Proficiency in desktop publishing software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with government document standards and security protocols is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
