What you'll do
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets its objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of processes and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process enhancements.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on quality assurance practices and the importance of maintaining high standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality performance, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the company's quality assurance practices remain current and effective.
- Manage customer complaints related to product quality, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and facilitate inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments to enhance overall product quality and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of quality and accountability within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a quality assurance team.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Proficient in quality assurance tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships across various departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality issues.
Nice to have
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with software tools for quality management and data analysis.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a similar industry.
- Knowledge of international quality standards and best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. Proficiency in quality management software and tools is essential, along with a solid understanding of statistical analysis methods.
