Ibs is seeking a talented Multimedia Officer to join our dynamic team in Port Moresby, NCD. This full-time position is ideal for a creative individual with a passion for multimedia content creation and a strong understanding of digital communication strategies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand presence through engaging visual and audio content, ensuring that our messaging resonates with our audience across various platforms.

What you'll do
- Develop and produce high-quality multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and animations, that align with Ibs's brand identity and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling visual narratives that effectively communicate our services and initiatives to target audiences.
- Manage the entire multimedia production process from concept development through to final editing and distribution, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools to edit and enhance audio and video content, ensuring a professional finish that meets our quality standards.
- Conduct research on current trends in multimedia and digital marketing to keep our content fresh and relevant, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Assist in the planning and execution of live events, ensuring all multimedia elements are seamlessly integrated and enhance the overall experience.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of multimedia content across various platforms, using insights to inform future projects and improve engagement.
- Maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring all multimedia files are easily accessible and properly archived for future use.
- Collaborate with external vendors and freelancers as needed for specific projects, ensuring alignment with Ibs's standards and objectives.
- Provide training and support to team members on best practices for multimedia content creation and usage, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in multimedia production to continually enhance our capabilities and offerings.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas for multimedia campaigns and initiatives that can elevate our brand presence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in multimedia production, preferably within a corporate or agency environment.
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of multimedia projects, demonstrating creativity and technical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with digital marketing principles and social media platforms, understanding how to optimize content for various channels.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets the expectations of stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with 3D modeling and animation software is a plus.
- Knowledge of web design and development principles, including HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices as they relate to multimedia content.
- Experience in project management tools and methodologies.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the non-profit or community sector is advantageous.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in multimedia editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro)
- Graphic design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong understanding of audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition)
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media management tools
- Basic knowledge of photography and videography techniques
Practical notes
- This role is based in Port Moresby, NCD, and may require occasional travel for events or projects.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Papua New Guinea, with visa sponsorship available for the right individual.
