What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand project requirements and define testing strategies.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of software functionalities.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of issues.
• Perform regression testing to confirm that existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes or enhancements.
• Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate the responsiveness and stability of applications under various conditions.
• Utilize automated testing tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency in identifying defects.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers to enhance code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of testing processes, methodologies, and results to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance practices, recommending improvements to existing processes.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and excellence within the team.
• Engage in regular communication with project teams to provide updates on testing progress and highlight any potential risks or issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Certification in quality assurance (such as ISTQB) is a plus.
• Experience in mobile application testing is advantageous.
