Senior Product Designer, Member Experience
Job description
Senior Product Designer, Member Experience at Hinge Health.
About the role
This Senior Product Designer role centers on crafting thoughtful, intuitive, and high-quality digital experiences that guide people through their health journey with clarity, confidence, and motivation. You will own the end-to-end design of member-facing interactions, translating complex healthcare needs into accessible and supportive product experiences. The position requires deep collaboration with cross-functional partners including product, engineering, clinical, data, and commercial teams to ensure design decisions drive meaningful outcomes. You will simplify intricate behavior change, health, and program workflows into intuitive flows that feel both personal and easy to engage with over time. The role demands a strong commitment to craft, a systems-thinking mindset, and the ability to learn quickly within a fast-evolving domain. As the company scales rapidly, your work will directly shape how new programs launch and how members perceive and interact with Hinge Health as a whole.
Key facts
What you'll do
Design end-to-end member experiences across key product surfaces, mapping flows from initial discovery through detailed execution and ongoing iteration after launch.
Simplify complex health, behavior change, and program workflows into clear, supportive interactions that reduce friction and increase member understanding.
Create personalized and habit-forming product experiences that help members stay engaged, make consistent progress, and feel supported over time.
Partner closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, researchers, and clinicians to shape product direction, align on goals, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Use qualitative and quantitative signals to inform design decisions, uncover new opportunities, and iteratively improve member outcomes across the journey.
Contribute to and extend the design system by building scalable patterns, robust components, and consistent interaction models that support long-term growth.
Champion quality, accessibility, and inclusive design principles throughout the member experience to ensure broad usability and equity.
Communicate design rationale effectively through flows, prototypes, frameworks, and narrative storytelling that align cross-functional teams around a shared vision.
Explore emerging tools and AI-enabled workflows, assessing how these technologies can enhance the design process and improve the overall product experience.
Act as a design thought partner for the member experience, balancing user needs with business goals to create impactful and feasible solutions.
Define and refine interaction details, motion, and visual hierarchies to ensure intuitive, polished, and delightful product interfaces.
Support discovery and concept testing efforts, validating ideas through prototypes and early user feedback to de-risk assumptions before full build.
Own portions of the design process end-to-end, from problem framing and research synthesis through execution, validation, and post-launch learning.
Advocate for data-driven iteration, using insights from experiments and analytics to refine designs and demonstrate impact on member behavior and outcomes.
