Director, Product Management
Job description
Director, Product Management at Hinge Health.
About the role
At Hinge Health, we are transforming care at scale, helping millions of people live pain-free lives. Now, we are looking for a Director of Product Management to lead one of our most member-critical product areas: the Member Journey. The role owns the definition and execution of the end-to-end experience framework that governs how members enroll, receive care, and achieve a reduction in pain through Hinge Health. This leader is responsible for turning an employer benefit into a habit-forming care relationship by driving cohesion across the Member Journey neighborhood. You will own the strategic narrative for the next-generation member experience in digital healthcare, including how personalization and AI reshape what it means to deliver care at scale. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that product decisions are grounded in member needs, clinical expertise, and data-driven insights.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Define and communicate a multi-year product vision and strategy for the Member Journey neighborhood, ensuring alignment with Hinge Health's broader goals and long-term business outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, member obsession, and operational excellence across the group.
- Drive enrollment, retention, and outcomes by transforming the member lifecycle from triage through long-term retention and sustained behavior change for members.
- Identify friction points across the member journey, develop program platforms, grow our suite of programs and program extensions, and design habits that keep members engaged over time.
- Build a member experience that scales gracefully to new conditions and care models without creating fragmentation or inconsistency across the product portfolio.
- Define and execute how AI and personalization make the member experience more adaptive, relevant, and effective for diverse member populations and care pathways.
- Partner deeply with Clinical, Design, and Data Science teams to understand member needs and translate them into a cohesive, executable product roadmap.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design to ensure high-quality, scalable execution while maintaining a strong focus on usability, accessibility, and performance.
- Work with distributed stakeholders across US-based offices, operating comfortably in Pacific Time zones and supporting asynchronous, globally distributed team workflows.
- Apply technical fluency to engage deeply with data models, experimentation infrastructure, and system design decisions that impact the member experience.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as a foundational qualification for the role.
- Bring 10+ years of experience in Product Management building consumer-facing products or B2B2C platforms with proven impact at scale.
- Demonstrate 4+ years managing a team of Product Managers or Senior Product Managers, with experience in mentoring, growth, and performance management.
- Show a track record of managing foundational platforms at scale, not just owning features, with emphasis on long-term architecture and extensibility.
- Exhibit comfort working with distributed teams and US-based stakeholders, aligning priorities across time zones and regional constraints.
- Possess technical fluency, specifically the ability to engage deeply on data models, experimentation infrastructure, and system design considerations.
- Communicate exceptionally in written and verbal formats to operate effectively in async, globally distributed teams while maintaining strong project management skills.
- Maintain a bias for urgency and execution, driving progress efficiently even under ambiguous or rapidly changing conditions.
- Understand the implications of member privacy, security, and compliance considerations in the context of digital health product decisions.
- Align with Hinge Health's commitment to evidence-based care and measurable outcomes in the products you define and launch.
Nice to have
- Bring experience in Digital Health or consumer health products, with a demonstrated understanding of member journeys in healthcare settings.
- Show expertise managing platform teams and driving significant architectural designs that influence long-term product direction.
- Demonstrate familiarity with AI/ML applications in personalization, recommendations, or behavior change interventions.
- Have a strong background in experimentation and A/B testing at scale, using data to inform product decisions and measure impact.
- Show experience with consumer lifecycle management, activation funnels, and engagement mechanics that improve retention and outcomes.
