About the role
Join our People Operations team at Hims And Hers as a Senior Technical Sourcer. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our Engineering and Product Management departments by building robust talent pipelines for a variety of technical roles. You will focus on sourcing, engaging, and qualifying candidates from entry-level to senior leadership positions, ensuring we attract top talent to support our mission of providing accessible healthcare. As a key member of the recruiting team, you will collaborate closely with hiring managers, recruiters, and other stakeholders to develop innovative sourcing techniques and leverage cutting-edge AI tools to optimize the recruitment process.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the entire candidate pipeline for Engineering and Product Management roles, from initial outreach to interview coordination, focusing on roles ranging from Senior Individual Contributors to Director-level leadership.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, define candidate profiles, and develop sourcing strategies tailored to each position.
- Use a variety of sourcing channels and techniques, including Boolean search strings, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, technical forums, open-source communities, and other platforms to identify passive candidates who are not actively seeking new roles.
- Develop and maintain detailed talent maps and competitive intelligence reports, providing insights on skill availability, market trends, and key companies to target for future hiring needs.
- Analyze sourcing funnel metrics such as response rates, interview conversion rates, and time-to-fill to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, continuously refining sourcing strategies for better results.
- Leverage large language models (LLMs) such as Claude to automate repetitive tasks, personalize candidate outreach, and enhance sourcing workflows, increasing efficiency and candidate engagement.
- Design and execute structured outbound campaigns, monitor response and engagement metrics, and adjust messaging and targeting to improve overall hiring speed and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand upcoming hiring needs and proactively build talent pools for critical roles.
- Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and candidate interactions within applicant tracking systems and other recruiting tools like Ashby, Gem, and LinkedIn.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new sourcing tools, and AI advancements to continuously improve sourcing techniques and stay ahead of the competition.
- Participate in regular team meetings, provide feedback on sourcing strategies, and contribute to the development of best practices within the recruiting team.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives by actively sourcing diverse candidate pools and ensuring equitable outreach practices.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of technical sourcing experience, either in-house or combined with agency work, specifically targeting Engineering and Product Management roles.
- At least 2 years of experience sourcing senior leaders, including Senior Managers, Directors, and higher executive levels.
- Proven success in sourcing for a broad range of Engineering disciplines such as full stack, backend, platform, and other technical specialties, as well as Product Management roles.
- Strong understanding of top-of-funnel sourcing strategies, research techniques, and the ability to find untapped talent pools through innovative methods.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, metrics, and insights to optimize sourcing strategies and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Experience managing candidate pipelines from initial identification through long-term engagement, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process.
- Familiarity with AI tools, particularly large language models like Claude, for automating outreach, research, and personalization tasks, including prompt building and AI integration.
- Proficiency with sourcing and recruiting platforms such as Ashby, LinkedIn, GitHub, and Gem.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and humble approach to working with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, processes, and changing hiring needs, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.

Practical notes
This position is a full-time, salaried contract role with a duration of six months. Compensation ranges from $145,000 to $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
