About the role

The Growth Alliance enables HelloFresh to expand by getting more customers to try, recommend, and return to our products. We build digital experiences used by customers around the world, including our checkout funnel, discounting and wallet services, experimentation platforms, and referral technology. As a Senior React Native Developer, you'll join a cross-functional team building features that empower both customers and internal stakeholders. You'll contribute to developing high-quality mobile and web experiences using modern technologies, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability. You'll work closely with senior engineers while taking ownership of well-defined features end-to-end, growing your technical depth and product intuition over time. We're also increasingly leveraging AI-driven tools and systems - from developer productivity (e.g., code generation, testing support) to customer-facing experimentation and personalization - so you'll have opportunities to build and iterate in an evolving, AI-enabled environment.

What you'll do

Implement customer-facing features from discovery to deployment, focusing on conversion, retention, and expansion within the checkout and wallet experiences. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and analysts to translate business goals into technical specifications and measurable success metrics. Write clean, testable, and maintainable React Native code for iOS and Android, ensuring consistency across shared codebases and platform-specific nuances. Integrate with backend services and APIs to deliver seamless end-to-end functionality, handling data synchronization, error states, and edge cases. Leverage AI-driven tools and systems to enhance development velocity, automate repetitive tasks, and support code generation and testing initiatives. Contribute to the development, refinement, and execution of experiments that evaluate new features, pricing, and discounting strategies. Analyze feature performance using data and experimentation results, and iterate based on insights to optimize user behavior and business outcomes. Champion best practices in performance, accessibility, and security to ensure inclusive and reliable experiences for a global audience. Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions to elevate the technical standards of the team. Stay current with emerging mobile development tools, patterns, and AI-assisted workflows to continuously improve the development process and product quality. All other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

2-4 years of professional experience building mobile applications using React Native and related ecosystems. 2-4 years of experience developing customer-facing features that scale to a global user base. Solid understanding of integrating frontend applications with backend services, APIs, and data contracts. Experience implementing features that impact key growth metrics such as conversion, retention, and recommendation rates. Familiarity with modern mobile development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control workflows. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to learn new technologies, frameworks, and domain concepts quickly. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, communicating clearly with engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts. Demonstrated commitment to code quality, maintainability, and performance optimization in production applications. Nice to have experience with experimentation platforms such as A/B testing and feature flag systems. Nice to have exposure to AI/ML-powered tools that support personalization, recommendations, or developer productivity.
