About the role
You will own the full consultative sales cycle for physician and advanced practice provider staffing within your designated Fort Lauderdale territory, driving long-term revenue growth for Hayes Locums. This role requires you to build and manage a robust book of business through proactive relationship development and strategic account planning with healthcare clients. You are responsible for sourcing, engaging, and qualifying physicians and APPs to ensure precise talent alignment with client needs and preferences. Every interaction you facilitate will reflect the consultative, high-touch approach that defines the Hayes Locums brand and supports our nationally recognized training standards. You will leverage data-driven research and targeted outreach to uncover new business opportunities while maintaining meticulous pipeline management. What you'll do
- Source and engage physicians through proactive outreach, networking, and in-depth research to build a diverse and qualified talent pipeline.
- Develop and execute a consultative sales strategy that leverages telephone engagement as the primary driver for growing your book of business.
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting activities, including disciplined cold calling, to consistently fill your sales pipeline with qualified opportunities.
- Lead consultative conversations that uncover physician career goals, lifestyle preferences, and clinical priorities to ensure optimal opportunity matching.
- Partner with healthcare clients to understand facility requirements and align candidate profiles with strategic staffing needs and operational objectives.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients and candidates through structured follow-up, value-driven communication, and market updates.
- Coordinate closely with internal support teams on licensing verification, credentialing processes, and regulatory compliance to remove barriers to placement.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while upholding a high-touch candidate experience that reinforces trust and professionalism.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to refine sourcing techniques, improve conversion rates, and optimize territory coverage.
- Contribute to team-level discussions on market trends, competitive positioning, and best practices for consultative selling in healthcare staffing.
- Utilize CRM tools and sales analytics to forecast revenue, monitor activity levels, and report on key performance indicators accurately.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement to incorporate feedback, refine messaging, and continuously improve sales methodologies and outreach tactics.
Requirements

Travel is not required for day-to-day responsibilities, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The compensation package includes a defined base salary, guaranteed bonus for the first 18 months, and uncapped commission potential, with earnings growth tied directly to individual and team performance.
