You will lead and develop a high-performing team while driving revenue and delivering staffing solutions across a dynamic healthcare market. In this hands-on leadership role, you will lead by example while coaching, developing, and motivating a team of consultants. The ideal candidate brings staffing industry experience and a proven track record of developing high-performing teams. You will develop subject matter expertise within your team's physician specialty while contributing to both recruiting and sales development initiatives. This position requires a player-coach mindset where you manage team performance and personally engage in sales activities to set the standard for the entire group. You will be accountable for building a sustainable sales pipeline and ensuring that the team meets defined revenue and growth targets. Success in this role depends on your ability to translate company strategy into actionable plans for your direct reports.

Compensation: $90,000 to $120,000 base salary
$20,000 to $25,000 bonus eligibility
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a team of healthcare consultants to drive performance and results.
- Provide hands-on coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to consultants at all levels.
- Motivate both new hires and top performers to achieve individual and team goals consistently.
- Ensure consistent KPI performance across the team through monitoring and active management.
- Establish and communicate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals for the team.
- Track and monitor team performance against key metrics, targets, and benchmarks.
- Partner with executive leadership and FP&A to develop annual sales goals and strategy.
- Review and analyze daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual sales data to inform decision-making.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and development of consultants and coordinators as demand requires.
- Partner with HR and leadership on performance management, including probation or termination when necessary.
- Communicate and implement company policies, leadership directives, and operational changes effectively.
- Maintain strong internal partnerships across departments to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Partner with HR and leadership to evaluate performance, trends, and reporting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, business insights, and overall process efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the organization and strategic priorities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales experience in a professional services or staffing environment.
- 3+ years of experience in sales management with demonstrated team leadership.
- Experience in physician staffing, locum tenens, or healthcare staffing preferred for context.
- Successful track record of coaching and leading sales teams to exceed targets.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and achieve team performance targets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, trends, and performance metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with executives and consultants.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to participate in hands-on sales activities such as prospecting and closing.
- Commitment to following company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent Hayes Locums positively to clients and candidates.
- Capacity to travel locally for meetings, training, and team events as required by business needs.

This role is based in-office in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Hayes Locums operates on a full-time engagement basis with standard business hours and possible occasional after-hours commitments for strategic planning or team meetings.
