What you'll do
- Source and engage physicians through outreach, networking, and research to build a robust pipeline of talent.
- Build and grow a book of business using a consultative sales approach, with telephone engagement as a primary driver of business growth.

Practical notes
This position is based in-office in Fort Lauderdale, FL, requiring consistent presence during standard business hours. Hayes Locums does not currently offer remote or hybrid options for this role. The training program is a fixed commitment designed to prepare you fully for the responsibilities of the position. Travel is not required for this role as all activities are centered within the Fort Lauderdale office. No visa sponsorship is available for this position at this time.
Training & Development
All new consultants complete a 6-week, award-winning training program designed to build a strong foundation for long-term success. During training, you will learn the locum tenens staffing model and healthcare market. You will also develop sourcing and recruiting strategies for physician talent and practice consultative sales and negotiation skills. Additional training components include exposure to credentialing, compliance, and operations to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the role. You will build pipeline management and call structure skills that are critical for consistent performance. The training program also focuses on establishing daily habits that drive consistent performance and long-term growth. Throughout the program, you will be supported by Sales Enablement and leadership through hands-on coaching, weekly benchmarks, and continuous feedback to ensure you are fully prepared for success.
Compensation & Career Growth
Hayes Locums rewards success through a combination of base salary, bonus, and uncapped commission. Our compensation model is designed to support early development while providing meaningful long-term financial upside for sustained performance. Compensation includes a $50,000 starting base salary and an $18,000 guaranteed bonus during the first 18 months at $1,000 per month. Sales Consultants are uncapped commission-eligible from day one, allowing you to maximize your earnings based on your performance. The earning potential is substantial, with six-figure earnings possible within 2 years. Experienced consultants can expect an OTE ranging from $300,000 to $800,000+ after 4-5+ years in the role. Top performers have the opportunity to achieve seven-figure earnings through consistent excellence and dedication.
