As a Senior Claims Adjuster specializing in Casualty Claims at Bamboohr Select, you will play a pivotal role in managing and resolving complex claims. What you'll do
- Evaluate and investigate casualty claims to determine the validity and extent of liability, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, claimants, and legal counsel to gather necessary documentation and evidence for claims assessment.
- Analyze complex claims data and prepare detailed reports that outline findings and recommendations for resolution.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives, ensuring that agreements are fair and equitable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claims activities, ensuring that all documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and support to junior claims adjusters, sharing best practices and insights to enhance team performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and changes in laws that may impact claims handling and adjust processes accordingly.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to continuously improve your knowledge and skills in claims management and casualty insurance.
- Work closely with underwriting and risk management teams to identify potential areas of exposure and recommend strategies to mitigate risks.
- Handle escalated claims and complex issues, providing expert advice and resolution strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the development and implementation of claims handling procedures and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring open communication and trust throughout the claims process.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in claims adjusting, with a focus on casualty claims preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex information and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing casualty claims and insurance practices.
- Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
