Hamilton is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Vice President, Excess Casualty, Preferred Select, Division Manager. This leadership role is in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our Excess Casualty division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in insurance, particularly in excess casualty lines, and will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of innovative insurance solutions that meet the needs of our clients. What you'll do
- Lead the Excess Casualty division, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with the overall objectives of Hamilton.

- Oversee the pricing strategy for Excess Casualty products, ensuring competitive positioning while maintaining profitability.
- Collaborate with the claims department to ensure a process for clients and to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the division's performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Represent Hamilton at industry conferences and events, promoting our brand and engaging with potential clients and partners.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs within the division.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals within the organization.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on excess casualty underwriting and management.
- Proven track record of leadership and team management, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of professionals.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions that drive business success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements related to excess casualty products.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are preferred.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing market conditions and client needs.

- Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
