Halter is seeking a dedicated Territory Manager to lead sales initiatives and build strong relationships with customers in the South East region of Wyoming. This on-site role involves engaging directly with ranchers and graziers to promote Halter's innovative virtual fencing technology, helping them improve their livestock management practices. You will be responsible for expanding Halter's presence in this key territory, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction through in-field support and relationship management. The position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the agricultural landscape in Wyoming.

What you'll do
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the South East Wyoming region by actively engaging with local ranchers, farmers, and agricultural organizations.
- Conduct in-person sales presentations and demonstrations on ranches, showcasing Halter's virtual fencing solutions and explaining their benefits to livestock management.
- Develop and nurture relationships with existing customers, providing ongoing support and ensuring they derive maximum value from Halter's products.
- Meet and exceed sales targets by managing a sales pipeline, setting strategic goals, and following through on leads and prospects.
- Support new customer onboarding by guiding ranchers through the setup process, ensuring they understand how to operate and benefit from Halter's technology effectively.
- Gather detailed feedback from customers regarding their experience with Halter's solutions, and relay insights to product and support teams for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including customer support and product development, to resolve customer issues swiftly and enhance overall satisfaction.
- Attend local industry events, agricultural fairs, and conferences to promote Halter's solutions, network with potential clients, and stay informed about regional industry trends.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and territory developments within CRM systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Share best practices and insights with the broader sales team to help refine sales strategies and improve overall team performance.
- Represent Halter professionally in the field, embodying the company's values and commitment to innovation and customer success.
- Keep abreast of competitors' offerings and market developments to position Halter's solutions effectively and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Provide regular updates to management on sales progress, customer feedback, and market conditions to support strategic planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, particularly within agriculture, livestock, or technology sectors, with a demonstrated ability to manage large territories.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through effective pipeline management and customer engagement.
- Familiarity with ranching, cattle operations, or related agricultural practices, enabling meaningful connections with customers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the territory to meet with clients, conduct demonstrations, and attend events.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset, capable of working independently and managing time effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple accounts, follow-ups, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Experience working with or selling software solutions in a B2B context is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs with flexibility and resilience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to facilitate travel within the territory.
