About the role
This position represents a rare opportunity to be one of Halter's first Regional Sales Managers in Uruguay, a nation recognized as one of the world's great cattle nations, where you will build our customer presence in the region from the ground up. You will own the entire sales cycle in your territory, acting as the primary champion for the Halter platform among farmers and graziers. Your core responsibility is to source new leads, conduct on-farm demonstrations, and convert skeptical producers into our very first local customers by showcasing the platform's value. You will be a foundational contributor to the growth and success of Halter in Uruguay, shaping the future of grazing in the region. Key facts
What you'll do
- Source new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, introductions, industry events, and other channels while fielding and responding to inbound inquiries.
- Meet high growth sales targets by managing pipeline from initial contact to close, including screening, qualifying, executing on-farm demonstrations, and successfully negotiating contracts with customers.
- Lay the groundwork for the local sales function by helping to set and manage quotas, commissions, and other sales management tasks as the team scales.
- Coach, mentor, and develop future sales staff to help drive their professional growth and ensure they reach targets as we scale the regional operation.
- Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure seamless post-sales handoff, implementations, high customer satisfaction, and account renewal.
- Provide ongoing support, insight, and communication to build and foster trusting, enduring relationships with customers during the deployment waiting period.
- Leverage opportunities and actively participate in relevant industry and Halter events, trade shows, and live demonstrations.
- Build and leverage strategic industry relationships to establish and maintain Halter's brand authority in this brand-new market.
- Focus intensely on the customer and their needs, providing actionable feedback to help drive the product roadmap and platform evolution.
- Work closely with the internal team to optimize and evolve the sales process, making it faster, more efficient, and more predictable as the company scales in Uruguay.
Requirements
- Possess a complete end-to-end sales skill set with at least five years of progressive experience in complex sales environments.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully sourcing new prospects, securing meetings with new leads, and creating new sales opportunities in competitive markets.
- Show a history of being highly experienced in value-based sales, with a proven ability to close deals and achieve high-volume sales results.
- Have the capability to present Halter's complex value proposition clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
- Bring experience in beef farming or within the agricultural sector, which is highly desirable for understanding customer pain points.
- Exhibit a results-driven mindset with high self-motivation and exceptional time management skills to manage a demanding territory.
- Display adaptability and resilience to operate effectively in a high-stakes, fast-paced sales environment with evolving challenges.
- Commit to maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity while representing the Halter brand in all customer interactions.

- Experience utilizing technology platforms and digital tools to manage sales pipelines and customer relationships.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture or livestock management software solutions.
- Knowledge of the Uruguayan agricultural market, regulations, and key industry players.
- A network of existing contacts within the farming and grazing community in Uruguay.
