We are seeking a dedicated Product Specialist to join Halter as we introduce our innovative solutions to the South American market. This position is pivotal as you will be the first point of contact for our initial producers, assisting them in implementing Halter's technology on their farms. Your insights and experiences will be crucial in refining our product to better suit the unique needs of cattle production in this region. You will collaborate closely with our teams in New Zealand and South America, ensuring that our offerings provide significant value from the outset.

What you'll do

• Engage directly with farmers to implement Halter's technology, ensuring a hands-on approach rather than a desk-bound role.
• Develop strong relationships with early adopters, gaining a deep understanding of their operations and the specific requirements for our product to deliver value.
• Communicate insights from the field to our product and engineering teams in New Zealand, ensuring that we continuously enhance our offerings based on real-world feedback.
• Analyze the intricacies of cattle production in South America, including animal behavior, land use, and farming practices, and relay this information to the broader team.
• Critically assess the product from start to finish, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate with initial customers to maximize their experience with Halter, ensuring they achieve tangible results.
• Work alongside the commercial team to maintain alignment and support as we expand our presence in the region.
• Adapt to the dynamic nature of this role, taking on additional responsibilities as needed to ensure Halter's success in South America.

Requirements

• Proven experience in South American cattle production is essential.
• A strong passion for animal welfare and a commitment to advancing agriculture in the region.
• Technologically adept and curious about the inner workings of our product.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey field observations into actionable insights for remote teams.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills, capable of tackling complex problems and developing innovative solutions.
• Comfort with uncertainty, as this role involves navigating an early-stage market with evolving challenges.
• Quick learner with a strong work ethic, eager to collaborate with a team on groundbreaking initiatives.
• Resilience and a proactive attitude, with a willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary.
• Fluency in Spanish is required, while proficiency in English is advantageous for communication with our headquarters.
