Halter is seeking a proactive and skilled Fleet Operations Specialist to join our team in Queensland. This position is an for someone eager to be among the first hardware technicians in Australia. As a Fleet Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in establishing an effective operational framework, ensuring that our hardware systems, including collars and towers, function seamlessly. You will engage directly with farmers, addressing technical issues in the field while also delivering our innovative hardware solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our pioneering producers.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of Halter's on-farm infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and diagnose hardware issues in the field, relaying critical information back to the appropriate teams.
- Assist in the deployment of Halter equipment on farms, providing troubleshooting support and installation assistance.
- Gather insights from the field and communicate them effectively to our product and engineering teams to enhance our offerings for Australian cattle producers.
- Participate in a global on-call roster to address tower-related incidents and proactively implement solutions.
- Collect and analyze data from our hardware systems to optimize operational processes and enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and management of a maintenance system tailored specifically for the Australian market.
- Collaborate with various teams within Halter to ensure alignment and drive positive customer outcomes.
- Expect to travel frequently across Australia, spending 3 to 4 days a week on the road, with occasional overnight stays.
- Take initiative and be willing to tackle any task necessary to support Halter's success in the Australian market.
Requirements
- Practical experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting is essential.
- A proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership in your work are crucial.
- Excellent communication skills to translate field observations into actionable feedback for remote teams.
- Strong time management abilities to complete tasks efficiently without constant supervision.
