About the role
You will own the end to end commercial performance for Argentina and Uruguay as Halter establishes its first market entry in South America. You will be accountable for revenue, pipeline, and conversion targets in one of the world's most significant beef markets. You will lead the design and execution of the go to market strategy while shaping the product roadmap based on direct customer feedback. You will build and coach a high performing commercial team from scratch with a focus on discipline and care. You will represent the voice of the farmer and the grazier within Halter's global leadership team. You will work closely with New Zealand and cross functional partners to ensure local insights drive global decisions.

What you'll do
Build, develop, and performance manage a regional commercial team, setting clear expectations, coaching in the field, and ensuring every team member operates at a high level.
Drive consistent execution through hands on training, field visits, deal reviews, and continuous improvement rhythms that reinforce Halter's standards.
Design the right team structure, hire the right people, and build the coaching infrastructure that supports sustainable growth in Argentina and Uruguay.
Build and continuously refine a data driven operating model, ensuring disciplined pipeline hygiene, stage progression, and conversion performance across the team.
Get up to speed quickly with the Halter sales model, learning how technology, grazing science, and customer workflows intersect in practice.
Run regular reviews on pipeline health, forecast variance, territory performance, leading indicators, and productivity metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
Partner with global RevOps to design scalable dashboards, reporting, and insights that drive behaviour and decision making for the commercial function.
Own the regional marketing function, including brand presence, field events, and content, ensuring marketing and sales operate as a single aligned commercial engine.
Partner with Halter's global marketing team to adapt global strategy, assets, and campaigns to the Argentine and Uruguayan cattle market, translating brand into pipeline.
Shape how Halter shows up in the South American market at industry events, in trade media, and through channels that reach farmers and ranchers where they work and live.
Own customer satisfaction and the full post sale experience in the region, ensuring every farmer who buys Halter reaches full adoption quickly and sees measurable value.
Hold the end to end commercial lifecycle responsible for retention, expansion revenue, and the commercial health of the installed base in your region.
Represent local customer needs to global stakeholders, partnering closely with the New Zealand team to influence product roadmap, forecasting, and broader go to market strategy.
Champion the first customers in Argentina and Uruguay, working hands on in the field to ensure deployment success and to validate value outcomes at scale.
Requirements
You have a proven track record of building and leading commercial teams in an enterprise software or technology environment.
You have deep experience in the livestock, agriculture, or rural sectors, with a clear understanding of beef cattle markets in Argentina and Uruguay.
You operate comfortably with quantitative data, pipeline metrics, and forecasting models to drive decisions and hold your team accountable.
You communicate with warmth and candour, adapting your style to farmers, graziers, and executive stakeholders with equal ease.
You are prepared to travel frequently within Argentina and Uruguay to be present in farming communities and to run field events.
You are comfortable working remotely and asynchronously while remaining tightly aligned with a globally distributed team.
You bring a high level of discipline, rigour, and clarity to complex commercial problems without losing sight of the human impact.
You are committed to operating with high integrity and building long term trusted relationships with customers and partners.
Nice to have
Experience working with pasture based grazing systems and automated cattle management technology.
Understanding of how livestock insurance, finance, or carbon programs intersect with technology adoption.
Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese to engage directly with farmers, ranchers, and local stakeholders.
Experience in a founder led, high performance culture where speed, ownership, and learning are non negotiable.
Practical notes
This role requires frequent travel within Argentina and Uruguay to engage with farmers, attend industry events, and support customer deployments.
You must be eligible to work in Argentina and Uruguay under local employment law.
Visas may be required for certain nationalities; you will be supported to navigate these requirements as part of the onboarding process.
This is a full time position with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility from day one.
