Halter is seeking a proactive and skilled Fleet Operations Specialist to join our team in Victoria. This position offers a unique chance to be one of the initial hardware technicians in Australia, focusing on our innovative hardware solutions, including collars and towers that define our operations. You will play a crucial role in establishing an effective operational framework, ensuring our hardware functions seamlessly on farms. Your responsibilities will range from diagnosing technical issues in the field to delivering equipment to producers, making you the key point of contact for on-ground operations.

What you'll do
- Maintain and repair Halter's on-farm infrastructure to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose hardware issues promptly and relay information to the appropriate teams for swift resolution.
- Assist in deploying Halter's technology on farms, providing troubleshooting support and ensuring successful installations.
- Gather insights from the field and communicate them effectively to our product and engineering teams to enhance our offerings for Australian cattle producers.
- Participate in a global on-call roster to address tower-related incidents and proactively devise solutions as needed.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from our hardware systems to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency, identifying potential issues before they escalate.
- Contribute to the development and management of a maintenance system tailored specifically for the Australian market.
- Collaborate with various teams within Halter to ensure alignment and drive positive customer outcomes.
- Expect to travel frequently, spending 3 to 4 days a week on the road visiting producers, with occasional overnight stays.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support Halter's continued success in the Australian market.
Requirements
- Practical experience in fields such as electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment installation is essential.
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to tackle challenges independently.
- Excellent communication skills to convey field observations clearly to remote teams.
- Strong time management abilities, allowing you to complete tasks efficiently without constant supervision.
