About the role

You will own the end to end execution of launching and running a brand new manufacturing facility in Buffalo, New York, translating GTI values into daily behaviors and measurable results. You will partner directly with company ownership, engineering, and operations to shape the facility layout, drive process implementation, and remove barriers to production scalability. You will be accountable for building a high performing team that delivers on safety, quality, customer obsession, speed, and agility in a fast moving fabrication environment. You will oversee mechanical and electrical integration activities, ensuring turn key delivery of custom enclosures and skids meets contractual commitments. You will establish and monitor operational performance metrics to verify that production targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals are consistently achieved. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline workflows, optimize resource utilization, and support sustainable growth across the Buffalo site. You will serve as the primary owner for operational readiness, coordinating with cross functional teams to execute prototype builds and smooth transitions into full production. You will champion a culture of discipline and innovation, enabling the facility to adapt quickly while maintaining rigorous standards for safety and quality.

What you'll do

Establish a clear facility layout and workflow design that aligns with engineering specifications and GTI values of safety, quality, customer obsession, speed, and agility.

Translate customer requirements and engineering drawings into detailed production plans, ensuring that fabrication, mechanical integration, and electrical integration activities are sequenced for optimal efficiency.

Lead the implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing production facilities, driving standardization and scalability from prototype builds to full production.

Own responsibility for operational readiness, coordinating with facility planning, engineering, and operations teams to ensure smooth launch of production lines.

Oversee day to day manufacturing execution, including production scheduling, workforce leadership, and adherence to delivery commitments for custom enclosures and skids.

Champion a culture of safety and quality by enforcing hard standards, leading incident investigations, and fostering continuous improvement in all operational activities.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to productivity, cycle time, scrap, and on time delivery to ensure the Buffalo facility meets or exceeds targets.

Collaborate with engineering and operations to implement manufacturing efficiency initiatives that reduce waste, streamline workflows, and support agile response to changing priorities.

Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for production teams, reinforcing GTI values and ensuring high levels of engagement, accountability, and performance.

Partner with cross functional stakeholders to resolve operational issues, manage constraints, and maintain alignment between production, customer expectations, and company goals.

Drive the execution of turn key solutions by coordinating mechanical and electrical integration activities, ensuring that fabricated enclosures and skids are delivered as specified.

Support the scaling of operations by identifying capacity constraints, recommending resource investments, and implementing best practices that enable sustainable growth.

Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on operational matters at the Buffalo site, ensuring transparent communication and timely issue resolution.

Promote an environment of speed and agility by empowering teams to make decisions, remove blockers, and respond quickly to customer and market demands.

Requirements

You must have experience leading manufacturing operations within fabrication, industrial manufacturing, modular assembly, or engineered to order production environments.

You must possess a strong operational leadership background focused on execution, scalability, and continuous improvement in complex manufacturing settings.

You must demonstrate a proven track record of managing production teams, ensuring safety compliance, and driving quality results in a demanding operational environment.

You must have the ability to interpret engineering drawings, understand process requirements, and collaborate effectively with technical teams.

You must be capable of overseeing mechanical and electrical integration activities within a custom fabrication context.

You must be comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment where priorities shift rapidly and adaptability is essential.

You must have strong communication skills to coordinate with company ownership, engineering, operations, and facility planning teams.

You must be willing to work onsite at the Buffalo, New York location during regular business hours, with potential for occasional travel as needed.

Nice to have

Experience with contract manufacturing for renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, or industrial systems.

Familiarity with turn key project delivery and systems integration in engineered to order environments.
