What you'll do

• Oversee and manage the security operations at the OKO Gold Project, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor surveillance systems, including cameras and alarms, to detect and respond to security breaches or incidents in real-time.
• Conduct regular security audits and inspections of the site to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to establish effective response protocols for various security scenarios.
• Train and supervise security personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the OKO Gold Project.
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and responses, providing detailed reports to management as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security management or a related field, preferably within the mining or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of security systems, surveillance technologies, and emergency response protocols.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify potential security threats.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor.
• Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to security and safety in the mining sector.
• Certification in security management or a related discipline is preferred.
• Proficiency in using security software and technology for monitoring and reporting purposes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the project demands.

Nice to have

• Previous experience working in remote or challenging environments, particularly in the mining sector.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR, with certification being a plus.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
