What you'll do

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient operation of the Oko West Mine, focusing on safety and productivity.
Participate in the development and implementation of mining plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Monitor and analyze geological data to identify potential areas for resource extraction and optimize mining operations.
Assist in the management of environmental impact assessments and ensure adherence to sustainability practices.
Conduct regular inspections of mining equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Engage in training and development programs to enhance team skills and knowledge in mining operations.
Support the recruitment process by providing insights into the skills and competencies needed for various roles within the mine.

Requirements

A degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in mining operations or a related industry.
Strong understanding of mining regulations and safety standards.
Proven ability to analyze geological data and make informed decisions based on findings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Proficiency in using mining software and tools for planning and analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A commitment to sustainability and responsible mining practices.
Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to changing work conditions.

Nice to have
