What you'll do

• Lead and manage all surveying activities at the Oko Gold Project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct detailed topographical surveys to provide accurate data for mine planning and design.
• Utilize advanced surveying technologies, including GPS and 3D modeling software, to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate survey data into operational plans.
• Develop and implement surveying procedures and best practices to optimize workflow and improve safety measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in mine surveying, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in surveying software and tools, including AutoCAD, Surpac, and other relevant applications.
• In-depth knowledge of mining operations, geological principles, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Valid surveying license or certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience working in gold mining operations or similar commodities.
• Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) applications and their integration into surveying practices.

• Knowledge of local regulations and practices related to mining and surveying in Guyana.
