Job description
About the role
Join the GetYourGuide journey to connect people with unforgettable travel experiences around the world. Millions look to us for unique activities they can trust, and it's all powered by our commitment to make every single journey extraordinary - including yours. You will lead the vision and execution of a portfolio of data and machine learning products that serve as the foundational layer for the entire marketplace flywheel. Your responsibility is to translate complex technical and business requirements into high-impact data products that drive measurable outcomes across Consumer, Growth, and Supply. You will manage a senior, cross-functional team of Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers, guiding their careers while ensuring technical excellence and alignment with company goals. This role requires a strong bias for action, ownership of end-to-end product lifecycles, and the ability to navigate ambiguity to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping how the company understands and organizes its travel marketplace through data.

What you'll do
Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of horizontal data products, from discovery and architecture to productionization and operational excellence across GetYourGuide.
Lead the hiring, development, and performance management of a senior, cross-functional team, fostering an environment where Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers can thrive.
Define and execute the product roadmap for Central Data Products, making explicit trade-offs between exploration, productionalization, and ongoing operations to maximize business impact.
Solve complex technical challenges that span multiple services and business domains, including marketplace tagging quality, destination maps, and predictive customer models.
Own the adoption and operationalization of data products, partnering closely with Growth, Supply, and Consumer stakeholders to ensure real-world value is realized.

Build strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales, aligning on shared systems and driving ownership from day one.
Translate technical results and trade-offs into clear business decisions, communicating effectively with commercial stakeholders to maximize impact.
Champion the development of reliable, at-scale pipelines and production infrastructure that support LLM-based systems running in production today.
Elevate the operational bar for data products by implementing monitoring, observability, and governance practices that ensure reliability and trust.
