Senior Data Scientist, Growth Data Products
Job description
About the role
Driving Growth Through Data Intelligence
Join GetYourGuide as a Senior Data Scientist in Growth Data Products, where you will shape the systems that power our expansion. Since 2009, we have connected millions of travelers to unique activities across more than 12,000 cities, supported by a Berlin headquarters and a network of 16 global offices. This role places you within a diverse community of over 850 explorers committed to redefining how the world travels.
Our Growth Data Products team acts as the central intelligence for GetYourGuide's growth strategy. We transform fragmented marketing data into dependable, self-service insights and automated decision systems. The work touches every growth channel, including search, display advertising, CRM, lifecycle marketing, brand initiatives, attribution, experimentation, and lifetime value measurement. By delivering reliable data products, we enable teams across the company to make faster, smarter decisions at scale. This role is integral to our mission of connecting millions of travelers with unforgettable experiences.
You will collaborate closely with data scientists, MLOps engineers, and business stakeholders in a culture that values curiosity and continuous improvement. Together, you will refine our marketplace catalog and enhance the traveler experience.
Your Core Responsibilities
You will design intake workflows that convert ambiguous marketing questions into precise data requests. This ensures that analysis aligns with strategic objectives and supports informed decision making. You will build and maintain robust data pipelines that reliably process marketing and marketplace signals, preparing them for rigorous analysis.
You will establish review routines that evaluate model behavior, detect data drift, and measure business outcomes before wider release. This includes monitoring data products in production to sustain quality and enable ongoing optimization. You will ship these products with monitoring frameworks that protect reliability and support fast experimentation.
Partnership is central to this role. You will work alongside growth and product teams to align metrics, prioritize experiments, and iterate based on results. You will orchestrate evaluation frameworks that compare model versions, track downstream effects, and guide future roadmaps. You will also champion best practices for data quality, model documentation, and stakeholder communication across teams.
What You Bring
You have hands-on experience deploying machine learning models in production environments, with at least five years of proven success. You use analytics to turn complex findings into clear guidance for business stakeholders, employing hypothesis testing and tools such as pandas, polars, SQL, and Spark.
You work regularly with large datasets and are comfortable with distributed computing concepts where relevant. Your experience includes recent work with LLMs and agentic AI patterns, such as prompt design, tool use, retrieval systems, and observability. You write Python code with software engineering discipline, applying distributed computing knowledge when appropriate.
You excel in fast-moving environments, balancing speed with accuracy and making sound decisions under uncertainty. You communicate clearly, explaining intricate ideas to both technical colleagues and non-technical audiences. You hold an advanced degree in a quantitative field or demonstrate equivalent practical experience. You have a track record of data science initiatives focused on marketing and growth.
What You Can Expect
We offer an annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs to support continuous learning and development. You can work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year, with a hybrid in-office schedule centered on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Opportunities to co-create our future growth direction are built into how we operate.
This compensation band ranges from 60,000 EUR to 90,000 EUR per year and reflects the level of responsibility and impact for this role. If you are ready to own the data products that power our growth, we invite you to join us and help connect travelers with extraordinary experiences.
