About the role
You will own the end-to-end accounting cycle for multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in strict compliance with local regulations and group policies. You will serve as the primary accounting contact for cross-functional stakeholders, translating business events into precise journal entries and financial records. In this capacity, you will drive the close process for assigned entities, coordinating with local teams to resolve discrepancies and validate data integrity. You will maintain a deep understanding of the business model across beauty, wellness, and self-care, identifying trends and anomalies that impact the financial health of the organization. You will act as a key liaison between the Poland, Ireland, France, and Spain operations and the central Finance leadership in London, facilitating alignment and transparency. You will continuously evaluate existing procedures, proposing and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and support scalable growth. You will leverage technology and automation to streamline repetitive tasks, freeing up capacity for strategic analysis and value-added work. You will uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity, safeguarding sensitive financial information across a global, multi-entity environment.

What you'll do
Coordinate the month-end and year-end close activities for entities in Poland, Ireland, France, and Spain, ensuring all deadlines are met with high accuracy.
Reconcile bank accounts and intercompany positions, investigating and resolving variances to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the general ledger.
Process and post journal entries for a range of transactions, including revenue recognition, payroll, accruals, and fixed asset accounting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring that all transactions are properly authorized, documented, and aligned with the chart of accounts.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and key performance metrics for management review.
Collaborate with tax authorities and external auditors, providing the necessary documentation and support for statutory filings and audits across the assigned jurisdictions.
Own the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring that vendor and customer transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring that eliminations are accurately reflected in consolidated financial statements.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement in existing workflows.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects requested by senior leadership, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local accounting standards and regulatory requirements in Poland, Ireland, France, and Spain, ensuring ongoing compliance.
Utilize the company's technology stack to automate reporting and streamline accounting processes, improving accuracy and efficiency over time.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and practices.
You have a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role, with a proven track record of handling complex responsibilities in a multi-entity environment.
You demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, using these tools to perform complex calculations, data analysis, and report preparation.
You are fluent in English, both written and verbal, enabling you to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
You have hands-on experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and a strong understanding of local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in Poland, Ireland, France, and Spain.
You are highly proficient in accounting software and enterprise resource planning systems, with the ability to quickly master new platforms and tools as required by the role.
You exhibit a meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, ensuring that all financial records are complete and error-free.
You possess excellent organizational and time management skills, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You are comfortable working independently and as part of a distributed global team, taking initiative and demonstrating accountability in your contributions.
