About the role
You will own the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for a high-growth segment, ensuring that every financial transaction is captured with precision and reported in accordance with established policies. You will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to provide timely analysis that supports strategic decisions and resource allocation. This role requires you to drive process discipline, standardize workflows, and eliminate variances through proactive monitoring and reconciliation. You will safeguard corporate assets by enforcing internal controls and compliance procedures across all accounting activities. You will own the preparation of management reporting packages that deliver clear insights into business performance. You will collaborate with tax and legal advisors to ensure filings and documentation meet all regulatory requirements. You will act as a key point of contact for external auditors, providing documentation and explanations during audit cycles. You will continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
Analyze monthly transaction data and reconcile subsidiary ledgers to ensure completeness and accuracy in financial records.
Perform account analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Prepare journal entries for recurring and non-recurring transactions, applying correct accounting principles and company policies.
Own the month-end close process, coordinating with stakeholders to meet strict deadlines and deliver accurate financial statements.
Maintain and update standard operating procedures for accounting functions to improve clarity, consistency, and control.
Execute bank reconciliations for various entities, validating cash positions and identifying outstanding items for resolution.
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering data, validating inputs, and consolidating results for review.
Monitor key financial metrics and prepare variance analyses to explain differences against plan and prior period performance.
Assist in the coordination of external audit activities, providing requested documentation and clarifying findings as needed.
Maintain detailed audit trails for all financial adjustments and close activities to ensure transparency and traceability.
Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, applying knowledge of accounting standards in a practical context.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects requested by leadership to enable data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
You must have proven experience in a finance or accounting role, demonstrating your ability to manage complex accounting tasks.
You must be proficient in general ledger accounting principles and have hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning systems.
You must have strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
You must have a solid understanding of financial reporting standards and internal control frameworks relevant to corporate accounting.
You must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with both finance and non-finefit stakeholders.
You must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to investigate discrepancies and drive process improvements.
