What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Conduct detailed calculations and simulations to support design decisions and ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and drawings, to communicate design intent effectively.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, providing technical guidance and support to contractors and field personnel.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving for electrical systems, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and interns, fostering their professional development and growth.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure that Bamboohr remains at the forefront of electrical engineering innovation.
• Participate in project meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all designs and implementations meet Bamboohr's quality standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC and IEEE.
• Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with project management principles and practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with renewable energy systems and sustainable design practices is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in specific sectors such as commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
• Knowledge of advanced electrical modeling and simulation tools.
• Certification in project management (PMP or similar) is a plus.
• Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) processes.
