What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using NodeJS, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, enhancing the overall user experience.
• Implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between various components of the application and third-party services.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, promoting best practices in software development.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues promptly.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability, contributing to a robust testing framework.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, integrating new tools and methodologies into the development process.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Document processes, code changes, and system architecture to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
• Engage in agile development practices, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to enhance team collaboration.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development, specifically with NodeJS.
• Strong understanding of server-side programming concepts and experience with asynchronous programming.
• Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a solid grasp of API design principles.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and experience in writing complex queries.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• A passion for technology and a desire to stay current with emerging trends in software development.

• Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
