The serves as a critical financial partner responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's accounting records. This role owns the full processing of accounting transactions and expense report activities, driving reliable data for decision-making. The position requires a high level of accountability for maintaining the general ledger and performing detailed monthly financial analyses. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with all business functions to provide timely and accurate financial information. Additionally, this role plays a key part in supporting the year-end audit process and leading special projects aimed at improving accounting efficiency. What you'll do
- Process journal entries and other complex accounting transactions to ensure precise financial recording.
- Process expense report transactions with attention to policy compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Perform rigorous monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to validate financial integrity.
- Maintain unwavering accuracy and integrity of the general ledger through diligent oversight and review.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive accounting files and records for audit readiness and compliance.
- Perform detailed monthly financial statement analytics to highlight trends and support business decisions.
- Assist with the year-end audit by coordinating documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Participate in special projects to improve efficiency of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Respond to requests for financial and accounting information from all business functions promptly and clearly.
- Utilize advanced proficiency in MS Office to build robust financial models and analytical reports.
- Leverage prior experience with NetSuite, Ramp, and Tipalti to streamline accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Demonstrate superior organization skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Focus on managing time well and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with evolving demands.
- Act as a team player and collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve shared financial goals.
- Ensure detailed oriented execution of all tasks to minimize errors and enhance process controls.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
- Hold a minimum of 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP principles and general accounting processes.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of internal controls and financial analysis tools and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with excellent written and verbal skills in all professional interactions.
- Show superior organization skills with the ability to manage complex tasks and competing priorities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel capabilities for financial analysis.
- Focus on managing time well and the ability to multi-task efficiently under pressure.
- Act as a team player with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with other departments and stakeholders.

Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in Austin, TX. The role requires on-site presence during standard business hours. No remote or hybrid arrangements are currently available. There may be occasional travel required within the Austin area for meetings or events. Employment is contingent on successful completion of background checks and verification of credentials.
