Flexport is seeking a Staff Program Manager for Strategic Initiatives to lead cross-functional programs that drive the company's long-term priorities and growth objectives. This role coordinates efforts across multiple departments and teams to ensure strategic projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with clear, measurable outcomes. The position works closely with senior leadership to define project scope, align diverse stakeholders, and track progress across complex, multi-phase initiatives. The role is based in one of several office locations across the United States and requires regular in-person collaboration with team members. Candidates should expect to manage several concurrent initiatives and adapt to evolving business priorities as the organization scales. The Staff Program Manager works with cross-functional partners to define program scope, sequence deliverables, and remove obstacles that may slow down execution. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that strategic priorities are translated into actionable plans and executed with discipline across the organization.

What you'll do
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives from initial planning through execution and final delivery to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with multiple departments to align priorities, resolve blockers, and maintain project momentum.

- Partner with functional leads to scope, prioritize, and sequence new strategic work and requests.
- Support the evaluation of completed initiative outcomes and recommend meaningful improvements for future cycles.
- Organize resources, team assignments, and workload distribution to meet each project's objectives effectively.
- Monitor budget utilization and resource allocation for strategic programs, flagging variances as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs or large cross-functional projects over multiple quarters.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for delivering clear executive-level updates and presentations.
- Ability to work across departments and influence outcomes without direct reporting authority or oversight.
- Hands-on experience with project planning tools and structured delivery methodologies in a professional setting.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting priorities and competing deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field such as business or operations.
- Strong attention to detail in tracking tasks, timelines, dependencies, and key deliverables accurately and consistently.
- A self-directed approach to organizing work, managing competing demands, and meeting commitments independently.
