The Staff Product Manager for Trucking Tech will lead product strategy and execution for the company's trucking technology offerings within the broader freight ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of logistics operations and software product development, driving meaningful improvements to how freight is moved by road across North America. You will work closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to shape the product roadmap and deliver impactful features that serve Flexport's trucking ecosystem of shippers, carriers, and brokers.

What you'll do
Define and prioritize the product roadmap for Flexport's trucking technology platform and associated carrier tools.
Partner with engineering teams to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories.
Analyze shipping and freight data to identify opportunities for product improvement across trucking and ground operations.
Collaborate with internal customers and external stakeholders to understand pain points in the freight movement process.
Lead end-to-end product development cycles from initial ideation through launch and ongoing post-release iteration.
Own key performance indicators and success metrics for trucking-related product features and carrier integrations.
Present product strategies and progress updates to leadership and cross-functional partners across the organization.
Drive experimentation and structured testing to validate product hypotheses before committing to full rollout.
Manage relationships with third-party trucking partners and carriers integrated into the Flexport platform.
Champion a customer-first mindset across all trucking product decisions and long-term roadmap choices.
Work with data science teams to build predictive models for freight demand and capacity planning.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure product launches align with carrier onboarding and support workflows.
Collaborate with the data and analytics team to establish measurement frameworks for trucking product initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience as a product manager with a focus on logistics, supply chain, or transportation technology.
Strong understanding of freight and trucking operations, including the challenges faced by both shippers and carriers.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex product deliveries in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and translate insights into concrete product actions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting product plans to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience building and maintaining relationships with external partners, carriers, or logistics providers in a commercial context.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in product management and technology.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make prioritized decisions under tight timelines and competing pressures.
Track record of shipping products that measurably improved operational efficiency for logistics or supply chain customers.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities and shifting business needs.
Nice to have
Familiarity with freight matching, route optimization, or fleet management technology concepts and platforms.
Experience working in a marketplace or two-sided platform business model with external partners and carriers.
Background in supply chain management, operations research, or transportation economics at an enterprise scale.
Exposure to API-driven product architectures and integration with external carrier or logistics systems.
Prior experience managing product in a B2B SaaS environment serving enterprise logistics clients.

Data analysis using SQL or spreadsheet tools for operational insights and decision-making.
Agile and iterative product development frameworks with experience in sprint-based delivery.
Stakeholder management and communication across diverse teams including engineering, design, and operations.
Freight logistics domain knowledge including trucking, ground transportation, and intermodal shipping concepts.
Prototyping tools for rapid product concept validation and user testing.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems and transportation management system integrations.
Practical notes
This role is based in Flexport's Bellevue office and requires on-site presence during standard business hours.
The team operates within a fast-moving logistics environment where product decisions directly impact freight operations.
You will report to the Director or VP of Product for the trucking technology group.
