What you'll do

• Assist in the reconciliation of payment transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Analyze payment data and generate reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline payment processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Support the implementation of new payment systems and technologies to improve transaction handling.
• Monitor payment processing timelines and ensure adherence to established deadlines.
• Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external partners regarding payment-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of payment processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in regular audits of payment systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in the development of training materials and resources for team members regarding payment processing best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payment regulations that may impact Bamboohr's operations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis initiatives.
• Contribute to special projects as needed to enhance the overall effectiveness of the finance department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a finance or analytical role, preferably in payment processing or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software or ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of payment processing systems and financial regulations is a plus.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
