Sales Development Representative
Job description
About the role
This Sales Development Representative position at Everlaw centers on connecting the Everlaw platform with legal teams that need powerful electronic discovery and investigation capabilities. You will own the full early stage of the sales funnel by researching target accounts, identifying key decision-makers, and qualifying opportunities that align with the platform's strengths. The role demands a consultative approach where you listen deeply, ask sharp questions, and frame Everlaw capabilities around specific customer needs. You will run virtual demonstrations, handle objections, and guide prospects through the buying journey while maintaining strict adherence to the defined sales methodology. Success in this position requires disciplined follow-through, consistent daily activity, and honest reporting so the team can accurately forecast pipeline. Because the sales cycle involves complex legal workflows, you must translate technical platform features into clear, simple explanations for both technical and business stakeholders. Ultimately, this role rewards proactive problem solving, resilience in the face of frequent customer interactions, and a commitment to growing a predictable pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Typical interview steps
Sales hiring often includes a role play, a discovery call simulation, and a presentation. Candidates may be asked to pitch a product to a panel or handle a tough objection. Behavioral questions focus on past quota attainment and deal history. Energy and preparation matter. Interviewers often simulate the job in the interview itself, so be ready to run a short discovery call or demo. Practicing your own sales pitch out loud helps.

Questions to ask
Useful questions for the interview: what a typical week looks like, how work is assigned, what tools the team uses, and how feedback works. Asking how the role has changed recently and what the team wishes it had known when joining is also reasonable. Questions about the manager's priorities are especially valued.
