Senior Product Manager
Job description
About the role
Senior Product Manager, Data Ingestion and Pipelines at Everlaw
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and own the future of data intake and delivery within our platform. Your primary mission is to architect and guide the systems responsible for ingesting, collecting, and processing data at scale from a wide array of external sources. This includes our cloud connectors, mechanisms for raw and structured uploads, and our underlying backend processing pipelines. As the ecosystem of data sources and formats continues to expand, you will ensure our platform maintains deep, reliable, and secure connections while adapting to new standards. Your work will directly impact how effectively we can use both internal and external data, including preparing our capabilities for integration with AI agents and emerging interface standards.
Work Arrangement and Location
This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Oakland, California office. The schedule is hybrid, requiring presence in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
You will be the strategic leader for the flow of data into our system. Your responsibilities include designing and executing the roadmap for connecting to third-party services and handling diverse data formats. You will own the strategy for our upload and pipeline infrastructure, focusing on making these systems more robust, performant, and observable. A critical part of your role will involve navigating the complexities of third-party APIs, vendor-specific documentation, and evolving compliance landscapes to ensure seamless integration.
You will also be responsible for architecting support for new and emerging data layouts. This includes evaluating how these data sets can be exposed for consumption by external AI tools and agentic frameworks, such as the Model Context Protocol. You will drive tangible improvements in the user experience of our connectors and upload workflows, enhancing everything from initial ingestion speed to error clarity and debugging efficiency. Success in this role requires close collaboration with design, user research, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure our product initiatives align with user expectations and broader company objectives. You will also work closely with our legal and compliance partners to ensure all data governance and regulatory standards are met.
Required Qualifications
You bring a minimum of five years of experience as a product manager, with a demonstrated focus on B2B platforms and data-intensive environments. Your background should include successfully launching and managing products that rely on complex third-party API integrations and vendor management. You are comfortable operating in environments with significant ambiguity, particularly when external specifications, documentation, or vendor priorities shift.
You have a proven track record of conducting user interviews and synthesizing complex feedback into clear product requirements and strategies. Your communication style is precise and persuasive, allowing you to align executives, engineers, and cross-functional partners. You possess a deep understanding of data pipeline mechanics, including ingestion, synchronization, and connector-based architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on data governance, compliance, or privacy-focused product initiatives is highly valued. Familiarity with analytics platforms like Heap or Looker to derive product insights is also beneficial. Any prior experience within the legal technology sector, or a deep understanding of legal-specific data formats and workflows, will be considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
The target base salary for this role ranges from $179,000 to $226,000, determined by factors such as experience and skill alignment. This position is also eligible for equity participation and a comprehensive benefits package.
