You will join our team during a phase of rapid expansion to manage our growing global technical footprint. This role focuses on maintaining secure, efficient infrastructure and supporting our staff as we scale our operations and office locations. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of critical IT systems, ensuring that security and usability remain balanced as the company grows. The position requires proactive problem solving and close collaboration with engineering and product teams to align technology with business goals. You will be responsible for implementing robust processes that scale alongside our global footprint and distributed workforce. This role demands ownership of complex technical challenges with minimal supervision and a high degree of initiative. You will play a key part in building the operational backbone that supports our innovation and product delivery.

What you'll do
- Architect and maintain identity and access management frameworks to control user permissions and secure digital assets.
- Design, deploy, and support endpoint management strategies that ensure device integrity across all office locations and remote work environments.
- Engineer automation solutions using scripts to streamline device configuration, enforce compliance policies, and monitor security postures.
- Partner with Security and Operations teams to implement, audit, and refine controls that uphold industry standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Provide Tier 2 support for internal users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and SaaS tools that are essential for daily productivity.
- Plan and execute office buildouts by integrating network infrastructure, hardware provisioning, and connectivity testing for new workspaces.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of network hardware from leading vendors to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.
- Document technical procedures and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer, repeatability, and long-term maintainability of IT systems.
- Coordinate incident response activities during outages or security events to reduce impact and restore services efficiently.
- Evaluate emerging tools and platforms to identify opportunities for improving the efficiency, security, and scalability of IT operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support the execution of long-term infrastructure roadmaps that align with the company's growth strategy and global expansion plans.
Requirements
- Hold a background in IT Engineering, Technical Operations, or DevOps-adjacent roles with demonstrable experience in high-growth startup environments.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in identity management protocols such as SAML, SCIM, and OIDC when implemented through platforms like Okta and Google Workspace.
- Show hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management ecosystems, including tools such as Jamf, Kandji, or Fleet, to manage endpoints at scale.
- Exhibit the ability to author scripts using Python, Bash, or comparable languages to automate repetitive IT and security-related tasks.
- Provide evidence of experience managing network infrastructure hardware from vendors like Cisco Meraki or Ubiquiti in production environments.
- Illustrate a service-oriented mindset dedicated to maintaining security compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement of IT services.
- Display strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Commit to working within the locations and arrangements outlined in the practical notes, including flexibility for global collaboration across offices.
Nice to have
- Demonstrate a background in corporate security or hands-on experience implementing security controls at scale.
- Show familiarity with Zero Trust networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and secure access architectures.
- Highlight experience with OSquery, Santa, or infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform to manage environments programmatically.
- Present a portfolio of open source contributions or custom-built automation tools that have improved operational efficiency.
- Illustrate experience with monitoring and logging tools that provide visibility into endpoint and network performance.
- Show engagement with industry best practices for identity governance, access reviews, and compliance auditing.
