About the role
You own the safe and efficient movement of guests and service vehicles across the property to ensure operations run without interruption. You own the daily inspection and basic care for the fleet assigned to your shift, checking for damage, fuel levels, and operational readiness. You own clear communication with resort staff and external vendors, confirming drop-off and pick-up details in a timely manner. You own adherence to all traffic patterns, speed limits, and pedestrian right-of-way rules to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site. You own the accurate logging of trips, mileage, and any incidents that occur during your run, providing reliable data for management review. You own the representation of Sand Valley's friendly hospitality standards every time you interact with guests and colleagues in a professional manner. You own the proactive identification of potential safety hazards or maintenance issues and escalate them immediately to prevent larger problems. You own the commitment to environmental responsibility by following fuel handling, waste disposal, and parking protocols that protect the natural landscape.

What you'll do
Coordinate the scheduling and routing of outside service vehicles to support resort operations and guest needs.
Perform pre-shift inspections of assigned vehicles, documenting fuel, tire pressure, and mechanical condition before use.
Transport guests, staff, and materials between designated points across the resort while observing all traffic regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle, including trash removal and interior surface care.
Monitor and report road conditions, weather impacts, and any obstacles that could affect safe vehicle operation.
Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage or equipment when requested and when safely possible.
Support event logistics by moving equipment and supplies to outdoor venues, meeting spaces, and activity areas as scheduled.
Collaborate with maintenance staff to communicate vehicle issues and ensure timely repairs or replacements.
Document each trip with accurate start and end times, route details, and any incidents for operational records.
Follow all resort safety protocols, including seat belt use, speed limits, and pedestrian right-of-way procedures.
Act as a point of contact for external vendors, ensuring delivery and pickup instructions are understood and executed.
Promote a positive guest experience by demonstrating professionalism, patience, and respect during every interaction.
Adhere to inventory guidelines for fuel usage and vehicle supplies, minimizing waste and supporting cost controls.
Uphold the environmental values of Sand Valley by participating in sustainability practices related to vehicle operations and waste management.
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age to operate vehicles in compliance with resort policy and local regulations.
Must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles assigned and be able to provide proof of insurance as required.
Must have a verifiable driving record with a low incidence of accidents or moving violations over the past several years.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation before starting employment.
Must pass a background check and drug screening in accordance with Sand Valley employment standards.
Must be physically capable of performing vehicle inspections, loading and unloading activities, and extended periods of standing or walking.
Must demonstrate strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, staff, and external partners in person and over radio.
Must commit to following all resort safety, traffic, and environmental policies without exception.
Nice to have
Experience operating resort or hospitality service vehicles in a high guest interaction environment.
Familiarity with golf resort operations, course layouts, and event coordination procedures.
Ability to adapt to changing schedules, weather conditions, and seasonal fluctuations in a flexible manner.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting to assist with routine checks.
Strong understanding of sustainability practices and willingness to support eco-friendly initiatives.
Practical notes
This is a full time seasonal position with shifts that may include weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak periods.
Travel is limited to the Sand Valley property and immediate service areas as required for job duties.
Candidates must meet all resort eligibility requirements and complete any necessary onboarding documentation before starting work.
Employment is contingent on successful completion of background checks, drug screening, and verification of legal work authorization.
