You are responsible for embodying the spirit of Sand Valley each day through direct guest interaction and attentive care. This role owns the first and last impression for visitors as they navigate the resort experience. You will serve as a living compass, guiding guests through the immersive environment of Wisconsin's natural beauty. The position requires you to share ideas that enhance the guest journey while maintaining the authenticity of the resort. You own the protection of the serene atmosphere that draws outdoor enthusiasts to this vast wilderness. This is a role built on friendly hospitality and the ability to connect with golf and outdoor enthusiasts. You will actively listen to questions and respond with thoughtful guidance to create seamless experiences. Your work supports the Keiser brothers' vision of a community settled gently upon the rugged beauty of 12,000 acres.

What you'll do
Greet arriving guests and direct them through the resort with a calm, professional presence.
Manage the flow of pedestrian and cart traffic across multiple course entry points and common areas.
Verify guest credentials and course access permissions using resort systems before tee time.
Coordinate with course staff to adjust tee times and manage pace of play based on course conditions.
Provide detailed course information including yardage, hazards, and green complexes to enhance player experience.
Monitor weather and course conditions to advise guests on appropriate attire and safety protocols.
Handle lost and found items with care, ensuring secure storage and timely return to rightful owners.
Process minor retail transactions and manage point of sale interactions with accurate, efficient service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest-facing areas including kiosks, signage, and equipment staging.
Document daily operational observations and relay relevant information to management for continuous improvement.
Support special events and tournaments by coordinating traffic flow and assisting with setup requirements.
Assist with emergency response procedures and act as a first point of contact for guest safety concerns.
Communicate regularly with shuttle drivers, course marshals, and food service teams to ensure alignment.
Uphold the visual standards of the resort by identifying maintenance needs and reporting them promptly.
Requirements
You must be at least 21 years of age to hold this position within our resort environment.
You are required to possess a valid driver's license for operation of resort vehicles and equipment.
You must demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift as needed.
You are required to pass a background check and drug screening prior to the start of employment.
You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship at this time.
You are required to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing Sand Valley.
You must be able to communicate effectively in English with guests, staff, and management at all times.
You are required to commit to the full duration of the seasonal engagement as outlined in your offer.
You must be willing to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and variable daylight hours.
You are required to complete all resort training modules before being assigned independent guest duties.
You must adhere to all resort safety protocols and emergency procedures without exception.
You are expected to respect the privacy and confidentiality of guest information at all times.
You must comply with all resort rules regarding alcohol consumption while on duty.
Nice to have
Experience in a high-volume hospitality or golf environment where pace of play is critical.
Familiarity with resort operations, course management software, or GPS tracking systems.
Knowledge of local geography, trail systems, and seasonal weather patterns in central Wisconsin.
Ability to operate small utility vehicles or specialized resort equipment with demonstrated safety.
Background in outdoor recreation, tourism, or environmental education related to natural areas.
Skills in conflict resolution or de-escalation when managing guest concerns in public areas.
Understanding of sustainable practices and land stewardship principles as they apply to resort management.
Practical notes
This is a full time seasonal position with hours aligned to resort operations and guest demand.
Travel to and from the worksite in Nekoosa, Wisconsin is required for the duration of the engagement.

The seasonal commitment requires availability through the conclusion of the resort's primary season.
