You own the integrity of the sales floor, ensuring that every transaction is handled with accuracy, transparency, and a commitment to building guest trust. This role requires you to own the knowledge of our inventory, from the latest in golf technology to essential accessories, so you can confidently guide members and visitors toward the right equipment for their game. You are responsible for maintaining a retail space that is orderly, visually appealing, and ready for each new wave of guests, reflecting the high standards of the resort. You own the safety and security of the shop area, monitoring activity and reporting any concerns to ensure a secure environment for both staff and customers. What you'll do
Process point-of-sale transactions with precision, handling cash, credit, and check payments while maintaining a secure and organized register.
Operate the point-of-service system to generate receipts, process returns, and manage inventory adjustments in a timely and accurate manner.
Stock and organize merchandise on the sales floor, ensuring shelves are full, displays are appealing, and products are easy to locate.
Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the retail area, including counters, shelves, and fitting rooms, to uphold a professional appearance.
Answer guest questions regarding golf equipment, accessories, and resort amenities, drawing on product knowledge to provide confident recommendations.
Assist guests with the fitting and selection of golf clubs, balls, and apparel, ensuring a comfortable and educational experience.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to management, helping to prevent disruptions in sales and service.
Process rental equipment transactions efficiently, verifying condition and providing instructions to ensure a smooth experience for golfers.
Handle special requests and custom orders with patience and diligence, coordinating with vendors or other departments as needed.
Maintain a secure environment by following keycard and access protocols, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
Operate the shop's visual merchandising to highlight featured products, promotions, and seasonal items in an attractive and cohesive way.
Support marketing initiatives by distributing promotional materials and informing guests about current offers and events at Wild Spring Dunes.
Document daily activities, including sales summaries and incident reports, to ensure accurate records and accountability.
Collaborate closely with golf professionals, grounds staff, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience across the resort.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in every aspect of your work.
Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and responsible job duties.
You must possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification, demonstrating foundational knowledge in communication, mathematics, and problem-solving.
You must be able to verify eligibility to work in the United States, providing required documentation as mandated by federal law.
You must pass a background check as part of the pre-employment process, maintaining the safety and security of our resort community.
You must be able to stand and walk for extended periods while performing job duties, as the retail environment requires constant presence and engagement.
You must be able to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds, including golf bags, equipment boxes, and supply shipments.
You must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak resort seasons, to meet operational demands.
You must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear interaction with guests, staff, and management.
You must possess basic mathematical skills to accurately handle cash, process refunds, and reconcile daily sales reports.

Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment, where you have managed transactions and guest interactions professionally.
Familiarity with golf equipment and terminology, allowing you to engage with guests using a shared language and understanding.

Practical notes
This is a full-time regular position with a standard work schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with resort operations.
Travel is not required for this role, as the position is based at the Wild Spring Dunes site in Mt. Enterprise, TX.
No visa sponsorship is available for this position at this time, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
The start date is contingent upon successful completion of the hiring process, including interviews, background checks, and orientation requirements.
