Bamboohr is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join our Research and Development team, focusing on mobile applications. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate Agile methodologies and ensure that our development teams are functioning at their highest potential. You will work closely with product owners and stakeholders to deliver innovative mobile solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Key facts

What you'll do

• Lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure effective team collaboration and communication.
• Collaborate with product owners to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the team is focused on delivering maximum value.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to identify and implement process enhancements.
• Act as a servant leader, supporting the development team in removing obstacles and facilitating their work to achieve sprint goals.
• Monitor team performance metrics and provide insights to stakeholders on progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure that the team adheres to Agile principles and practices, promoting transparency and accountability throughout the development process.
• Coach team members on Agile methodologies and best practices, enhancing their understanding and application of Scrum.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and deliverables, ensuring that mobile applications meet quality standards and user expectations.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights, integrating them into the development process to enhance product offerings.
• Manage risks and dependencies, proactively addressing issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
• Facilitate team-building activities to strengthen collaboration and morale within the team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mobile technology to inform development strategies and practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience in implementing Agile practices in software development.
• Proven track record of successfully leading teams in delivering high-quality mobile applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex project challenges.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
• A relevant certification in Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with mobile app development processes and technologies is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience in coaching teams on Agile transformations and best practices.
• Knowledge of mobile development frameworks and programming languages (e.g., React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin).
• Previous experience in the gaming or entertainment industry, particularly in mobile applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools to enhance collaboration between development and operations teams.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Agile project management methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills to guide teams through Agile processes.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Proficient in using project management software such as Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Practical notes

• This position is based in Yerevan, Armenia, and may require occasional travel for team meetings or training sessions.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Armenia; visa sponsorship is available for qualified international applicants.
• The role may involve working with remote teams, so flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate different time zones.
