What you'll do

• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements, operational processes, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and execute audit plans, including risk assessments and audit programs tailored to the specific needs of various departments.
• Identify areas for improvement in internal controls and recommend actionable solutions to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights necessary for thorough audit evaluations.
• Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and management responses, ensuring clarity and transparency.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions taken by management.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in auditing to continuously improve audit processes.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior audit staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional development within the team.
• Participate in special projects and investigations as needed, providing expertise in internal control assessments and risk management.
• Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies, facilitating communication and ensuring compliance with external requirements.
• Utilize data analytics tools to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness, identifying patterns and anomalies in financial data.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive financial information throughout the audit process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or a related financial role.
• Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong understanding of auditing standards, risk management principles, and internal control frameworks.
• Proficient in using audit software and tools, with a solid grasp of data analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly to various stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Nice to have

• Experience in the technology or software development sector is a plus, given Bamboohr's focus.
• Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and tools.
• Previous experience in a multinational organization or working with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous, particularly Russian or English.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools such as ACL, IDEA, or Tableau.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
