What you'll do

• Lead the design and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Oversee the development lifecycle, from initial concept through to deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding and architecture.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Mentor and guide a team of developers, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth through regular code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing effective solutions to address challenges as they arise.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the development process to enhance product offerings.
• Facilitate agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to promote team collaboration and efficiency.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for current and future team members.
• Collaborate with the QA team to establish testing protocols and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
• Engage in troubleshooting and debugging to resolve technical issues, providing timely support to both internal teams and external clients.
• Participate in architectural discussions and decision-making processes, contributing to the long-term technical strategy of the organization.
• Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to explore new ideas and technologies that can enhance our product offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a strong understanding of software development methodologies.
• Experience with blockchain technologies and decentralized applications is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment strategies, particularly AWS or Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development and deployment.
• Previous experience in the fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
