About the role
This position is pivotal in bridging the gap between business strategy and product innovation within the Global Pricing Team. As a Pricing Analyst, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of pricing features, from their initial modeling and testing phases to their global implementation and ongoing performance assessment. Your insights will directly influence how pricing strategies are shaped and executed across various markets.

What you'll do
- Develop predictive models to analyze the impact of pricing modifications, such as changes in service fees or minimum order values, on key metrics including conversion rates, order frequency, and overall gross profit.
- Spearhead rollout evaluations and A/B testing for new pricing features, pinpointing areas of value leakage and proposing adjustments based on data insights.
- Collaborate closely with regional operations and marketing teams to translate overarching business goals into specific technical product requirements.
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of global fee structures and provide daily support to internal stakeholders regarding the implementation of pricing strategies.
- Create comprehensive data visualizations using tools like Tableau and BigQuery to monitor incremental revenue across different regions.
- Oversee the data catalog for pricing metrics and partner with data engineering teams to ensure precise logging of experiments and subsidies.
- Analyze competitive pricing strategies and market trends to inform pricing decisions and adjustments.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing findings and recommendations based on data analysis.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a pricing or product analyst role, specifically within e-commerce or marketplace settings.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and BigQuery, with demonstrated capability in constructing Python-based modeling pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
- In-depth understanding of applied statistics, especially in relation to price elasticity and conducting A/B tests.
- Solid grasp of unit economics concepts, including Lifetime Value (LTV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Gross Profit per Order (GPO), and contribution margins.
- Excellent command of English, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences effectively.
- Experience with Airflow for managing data pipelines and tools like Amplitude or Google Analytics for monitoring checkout funnels.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment, particularly in the tech or food delivery sectors.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as R or JavaScript for data analysis and modeling.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in pricing strategies.
- Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing decisions.
- Understanding of international markets and their unique pricing challenges.
