In this Commercial Analyst Intern position, you will act as the essential bridge between unstructured stakeholder requests and rigorous, actionable insight. Your core responsibility is to own the entire lifecycle of local promotion analysis, ensuring that every initiative is grounded in reliable data and clear logic. You will transform vague ideas into precise analytical frameworks, serving as the clarity engine for Commercial, Marketing, and Headquarters stakeholders. Through your work, you will directly influence the effectiveness of promotional calendars and the market fit of offers. You will remove noise from decision-making processes, ensuring that choices are based on facts rather than assumptions. This role demands precision, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to communicate clearly across diverse teams. Ultimately, you will drive data-led decisions that resolve ambiguity during shifting business requirements.

What you'll do
You will design robust intake procedures that accurately capture promotion logic and calendar constraints to prevent downstream errors. You will build and maintain scalable analytical foundations, ensuring our tools are future-ready and efficient for repeated use. You will simplify complex data access for colleagues, translating intricate methodologies into understandable narratives that drive adoption. You will map competitive activities systematically to provide clear support for country-level strategic planning and market positioning. You will execute specific ad-hoc projects triggered by Partners Ads and Strategy needs, responding swiftly to emerging priorities. You will drive data-led decisions to resolve ambiguity when business requirements shift rapidly and expectations evolve. You will validate analytical results before publication, aligning findings with performance monitoring processes to ensure accuracy. You will verify requirements by meticulously cross-referencing data sources with the DID document at least one month prior to the start date to confirm eligibility and availability. You will collaborate closely with local teams to ensure that insights are relevant, practical, and aligned with on-ground realities. You will contribute to a culture of evidence-based decision making by consistently presenting data in clear, concise, and actionable formats.
Requirements
Possession of a Bachelor degree in Economics, Engineering, Maths or any related field is required for this position. You must demonstrate the ability to manage high growth complexity, with Planning and Prioritization established as a core discipline in your approach. SQL knowledge is mandatory, as you will need to query databases and manipulate data directly to support your analysis. AI knowledge is noted as a valuable enhancement that can improve efficiency and insight generation. A hands-on attitude is essential, as you will roll up your sleeves to solve tangible problems and deliver concrete results. Fluency in English is necessary for seamless collaboration across documents, meetings, and teams located in different regions. You must be able to work independently and as part of a distributed team, maintaining ownership of your tasks and deadlines. Strong attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy in data interpretation and reporting outcomes. You will need to adhere to strict timelines and quality standards, reflecting professionalism in every deliverable. Understanding of local market dynamics in Italy will support more relevant analysis and recommendations.

Practical notes
This internship is based in Milano, Italy, and candidates must comply with local work eligibility requirements. You will need to secure the DID (Dichiarazione di Immediata Disponibilità) at least one month before the start date, which can be obtained via MyAnpal if you possess Government Digital Identity (SPID). The engagement is for a fixed duration of 6 months, with a gross compensation of 11.54 per month in 2025.
