What you'll do
Define and articulate a multi-year mobile strategy that establishes the app as the primary growth channel for the business.
Own the full product lifecycle for mobile initiatives, from initial discovery and design exploration through implementation and ongoing performance optimization.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, and marketing to deliver complex mobile initiatives that move key business metrics.
Align cross-functional stakeholders around a unified mobile vision, ensuring clarity on priorities and measurable outcomes.
Leverage behavioral data, user research insights, and structured experimentation to shape feature prioritization and refine the user journey.
Establish and maintain rigorous standards for mobile product quality, performance, and consistency across the Coursera and Udemy ecosystems.
Evaluate emerging mobile technologies and platform trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.
Champion accessibility, performance, and reliability to ensure that mobile experiences meet or exceed user expectations.
Translate executive and stakeholder intent into a clear mobile roadmap that balances long-term vision with incremental value delivery.
Act as a mentor for product thinking within the mobile domain, elevating the capabilities of partner teams through documentation and shared frameworks.
Define success metrics for mobile initiatives and use analytics to communicate impact to leadership and stakeholders.
Champion a test-and-learn culture by designing experiments that validate hypotheses and inform future product decisions.
Ensure that mobile product decisions are grounded in evidence, balancing qualitative insights with quantitative performance data.
Represent mobile strategy in cross-company discussions, influencing investment and prioritization at the highest levels.
Requirements
- Bring 8+ years of product management experience within consumer or enterprise software environments.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully shipping native mobile applications on both iOS and Android at scale.
- Show evidence of leading large-scale product initiatives that generated measurable business impact and outcomes.
- Illustrate the ability to shape mobile investment strategies in collaboration with executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Highlight experience in creating planning frameworks or quality standards that have been adopted by teams beyond your immediate organization.
- Show proficiency in using quantitative data and experimentation to guide product decision-making and validate hypotheses.
- Provide examples of managing complex timelines and dependencies in a fast-paced, dynamic product environment.
