What you'll do

• Lead and manage Navy-related programs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, while adapting to changing requirements as necessary.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and operational teams to facilitate smooth execution of projects, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Navy clients, maintaining strong relationships and effectively communicating project status, challenges, and solutions.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and ensure successful outcomes.
• Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
• Oversee budget management for assigned programs, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
• Mentor and guide junior program staff, fostering a collaborative team environment and promoting professional development.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact Navy programs, ensuring Cortina remains at the forefront of innovation.

• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals and presentations for new Navy contracts and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within the defense or military sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of Navy operations, regulations, and procurement processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles.
