What you'll do

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems in heavy machinery to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical components, including wiring, circuits, and control systems, to prevent breakdowns and enhance performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in heavy equipment, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems accurately.
• Collaborate with mechanical teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical components, ensuring operation of machinery.
• Install new electrical systems and components in heavy machinery, adhering to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, documenting all findings and actions taken for future reference.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical systems and heavy machinery technology, applying new knowledge to improve processes and efficiency.

• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to heavy machinery electrical systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electricista de Maquinaria Pesada or in a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques specific to heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints related to electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess electrical issues effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
• Certification in electrical systems or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with specific brands or types of heavy machinery, such as excavators, bulldozers, or cranes.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and their integration with electrical components.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a technical team.
