What you'll do

• Operate mini-loaders for various mining operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, optimizing the workflow and minimizing downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of mini-loaders to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Collaborate with the mining team to execute daily operational plans and achieve production targets.
• Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety within the workplace.
• Maintain accurate records of operational activities and equipment usage for reporting purposes.
• Support the transportation of materials and equipment to and from various locations within the mining site.
• Engage in continuous learning and skill development related to mining operations and equipment handling.
• Assist in the training of new team members on equipment operation and safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies during all operational activities.
• Work flexible hours as required, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational demands.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating mini-loaders or similar heavy machinery in a mining or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in mining operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Spanish.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor and operate machinery for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles on-site.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and rugged terrains.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in heavy machinery operation are a plus.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the mining industry, particularly in operations support roles.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards in mining.
• Certification in first aid or safety training relevant to mining operations.
• Experience with other types of heavy machinery or equipment used in mining.
