What you'll do

Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at addressing homelessness in the Los Angeles area.
Oversee daily operations of the homeless services program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Manage a team of social workers, case managers, and support staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
Collaborate with local government agencies, non-profits, and community organizations to establish partnerships that enhance service delivery.
Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness, utilizing data to inform decision-making and improve service outcomes.
Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability of services provided.
Advocate for the needs of homeless individuals within the community, raising awareness and promoting policy changes that support their rights and well-being.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff and volunteers to ensure best practices in service delivery and client engagement.
Monitor and report on program metrics and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability in operations.
Engage with clients directly to understand their needs and experiences, fostering a client-centered approach to service delivery.
Organize community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about homelessness and the resources available through Clinicaromero.
Stay informed about trends and developments in homeless services, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance program effectiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, particularly in social services or homeless assistance programs.
Proven track record of successfully managing teams and leading community-based initiatives.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by homeless populations and the resources available to assist them.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in budget management and financial oversight of programs.
Familiarity with data collection and analysis methods to evaluate program effectiveness.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to social justice and advocacy for marginalized populations.

Nice to have

Experience working with government agencies or non-profit organizations focused on homelessness.
Knowledge of grant writing and fundraising strategies to support program sustainability.
Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, to better serve the diverse community in Los Angeles.
Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and practices.
Previous experience in community outreach and engagement initiatives.
