What you'll do

• Lead the planning and execution of spacecraft operations, including pre-launch preparations, in-orbit activities, and post-mission analysis.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to ensure the safety and effectiveness of spacecraft missions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and mission planners, to define mission objectives and operational requirements.
• Monitor spacecraft performance in real-time, analyzing telemetry data to identify anomalies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential operational challenges during missions.
• Participate in the design and testing of spacecraft systems, providing operational insights to enhance system reliability and performance.

• Contribute to the development of training materials and programs for operational staff, ensuring a high level of preparedness for mission execution.
• Support the continuous improvement of operational processes, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in spacecraft operations or a similar role.
• Proven experience in mission planning, spacecraft systems, and operational procedures within the aerospace industry.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Familiarity with spacecraft telemetry and command systems, as well as experience with ground control operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field, with a focus on spacecraft operations or systems engineering.
• Experience with space debris mitigation technologies or related projects.
